Recently the trailer for “Fathers and Daughters” was released.

You should watch it.

Why am I sharing the trailer with you? Other than the fact that I can’t wait to see the movie, of course.

Last year I spent three days training with Shane Hurlbut, A.S.C., the cinematographer who shot it. I absolutely loved learning from him, and I can’t wait to see what he’s done in this new movie. Those few minutes shared in the trailer had me drooling and crying simultaneously. (Thank goodness I was home alone at the time.)

The three days I learned from Shane Hurlbut honestly changed my life forever.

You should know how rare it is for me to say something like that. I mean it. To this day, I am still processing everything that I’ve learned (and continue to learn) from him.

In fact, be sure to keep a close watch on the TriFilm Society blog. I’m going to write up a few take-aways from the workshop for my fellow filmmakers.

In the meantime, make plans to see this movie when it’s released.
