SDF Event with Aaron Syrett, Director of the NC Film Office

The Southern Documentary Fund (SDF) is hosting a fall mixer this Thursday evening, November 15th, at 7:00 pm. The event will take place at Trailblazer Studios in Raleigh, N.C. The director of the NC Film Office, Aaron Syrett, will be there to speak about the state’s 25% refundable tax credit.

And not just for Hollywood blockbusters… Join us for a night with NC Film Commissioner Aaron Syrett, who will enlighten us on how these incentives can work for documentary filmmakers and TV producers, and an update on productions from around the state. refreshments generously provided by our hosts Trailblazer Studios, an award-winning post production facility in Raleigh, who have collaborated on over 100 hours of non-fiction television in the past year alone.

It will be really interesting to hear Aaron Syrett speak about the state’s film incentives, and how they might help independent filmmakers. I’m looking forward to learning more about how they work, and I can use them to improve my own productions. I feel like it’ll be a really helpful evening, and I’m so grateful to everyone that’s making it happen.
