Short films made in North Carolina will be screened at The ArtsCenter in Carrboro, N.C., this Sunday, October 16th, at 4:00 p.m. The line-up includes “Lenny and Josh,” “The Weaver,” “Dear Stranger,” and “Where There’s Smoke.” There will be a question and answer session with the filmmakers after the screening. Tickets cost $5.00 and can be purchased online here.

The Second Sunday Film Series is organized by The ArtsCenter and filmmaker Jim McQuaid to offer more opportunities to screen locally created, narrative films. They plan to screen films on the second Sunday of each month through spring 2013. They will skip the month of November, however, to encourage attendance at the Carrboro Film Festival.

Local filmmakers are asked to submit their work for the series. Films must be narrative fiction, animation, or experimental. Submission guidelines are available as a PDF on The ArtsCenter website: http://www.artscenterlive.org/filmseries.
