The Modern Film Fest is happening in Kannapolis, N.C., this weekend. It started in 2009 as a means for filmmaker Michael Knox to show his first documentary, and has now grown into a festival. The historic Gem Theatre looks like a cool place to see a film, especially a NC-based production–which is what the festival promises (more info here).
