I shared a massive amount of photos from a self-guided tour of the Sierra Nevada brewery in Mills River, N.C., last week. Part I is all about the entrance of the brewery. Part II covers the self-guided tour of the brewery itself.
Today in Part III, I want to share photos of the Sierra Nevada taproom. It’s absolutely beautiful, food is delicious, and (of course) the beer is top-notch. By the time you’ve gone on the tour, you’ll be thirsty for a pint!
Every time I look through these photos, it’s easy to see how much thought goes into each of the tiniest details at the brewery. As a designer who’s obsessed with sustainability, I geeked out about it all.
It seems nothing is wasted or overlooked. For example, the clipboard used to bring your tab at the end of the meal is made from trees removed from the property during construction. Barrels are used to line the wall in the taproom. A garden out back supplies fresh ingredients for the restaurant.
