Abandoned Allies is a feature-length documentary about the Montagnards and their support of the Green Berets during the Vietnam War. It’s not your typical war story, though. It’s about brotherly love between these two groups of people, and the guys who kept their promises despite the actions of the government.
We’ve heard such great things about the movie. People have told me how much it means to see it, and share it with their families. It opened up conversations about the Vietnam War people weren’t willing to have until they saw the movie. These conversations are what keeps me going.
It would make me so happy to hear that you watched the documentary. It’s such a lovely story and the people in the film mean so much to me. We worked really hard on making this film on such a tiny, shoestring budget.
When you have a quiet evening, set the distractions aside and let down your guard. Give yourself 60 minutes to step into someone else’s world. Forgive my production errors and instead focus on the wonderful message in the film.
Love conquers all.
