I’m hustling to get this short film wrapped up so I can submit it to filmSPARK, which is part of sparkCON happening in Raleigh again this September. (Learn more about it and donate to their Indiegogo campaign here if you feel so inclined.)
The deadline for the filmSPARK short film submissions is August 1st, which is quickly approaching. I have a few tweaks to make but I sincerely want to finish it in time. This lil short film of mine would be perfect for filmSPARK, in my humble opinion.
We shot the film in one day last January at The Hive in downtown Raleigh. It’s about one minute long. It’s meant to be fun / enjoyable.
Finding time to tweak the short film — so that I can make the submission deadline — is tough. Spare time for fun projects like this one is harder and harder to find these days. My nights and weekends have gotten consumed with other priorities: adjusting to married life, setting up a new home, working, and starting a new documentary film. There’s a lot going on.
I’m going to carve out some time to wrap up this little project and send it out into the world. I think filmSPARK is just the right way to do that — if it gets accepted. Please keep your fingers crossed.
